Digital Management Wins 3-Year, $2.1M Contract with DHHS

Rockville, MD—June 10, 2004—Digital Management Inc. (www.digitalmanagement.com), the secure e-government solutions company, announced today that has been awarded a long-term professional services contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Digital Management will provide application development and operations support services within the DHHS Program Support Center (PSC) for two key operational systems within the Division of Financial Operations (DFO): The Accounting for Pay System (AFPS) and Travel Management System (TMS).

AFPS provides a systematic interface of payroll accounting that tracks personnel costs for disbursements, expenditures, obligations and accruals. TMS is an on-line automated system used to authorize, control and process all travel related documents and transactions.

Under this new 3-year contract (1 base year plus 2 option years), Digital Management is responsible for all of the following services for both AFPS and TMS:

  • Production operations
  • Software maintenance
  • New software development
  • Migration to a state-of-the-art web-based environment
  • Database administration
  • User support.

"We are excited about the opportunity to support these key systems for DHHS. This project strategically positions us to help the agency migrate to the new eTravel initiative late next year," said Mr. Jay Sunny Bajaj, the company's president. "As THE secure e-Government company, we possess the relevant technological and domain knowledge to properly ensure that when agencies want to upgrade legacy systems, the results are seamless."
