Digital Management Wins 5-Year Contract with Department of Transportation
Rockville, MD—September 29, 2004—Digital Management Inc. (www.digitalmanagement.com), the secure e-government solutions company, announced today that it has been awarded a long-term professional services contract with the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). Digital Management will provide website maintenance, support, enhancement, and content management for the Railroad Safety Advisory Committee (RSAC) database and website.
FRA established the RSAC to provide a continuing forum for advice and recommendations on railroad safety issues. All interested segments of the railroad industry are represented on the committee, and, consequently all FRA's customers have a more direct role in shaping FRA's regulatory program. The RSAC website serves as a portal for information and collaboration among all parties in the railroad industry interested in supporting and advising the resolution to safety issues and challenges and establishing cooperatively-defined regulatory options. As such, it serves as the single, critical point of information exchange among the many RSAC community members.
Under this new 5-year contract (1 base year plus 4 option years), Digital Management is responsible for all of the following services for the RSAC website:
- System Maintenance and Administration
- Content Management
- System Enhancement
- System Application Security
- Database Management
- User support
"We are excited at the opportunity to support FRA, assisting them in providing reliable support to the RSAC user community," said company president, Jay Sunny Bajaj. "We see a great opportunity to partner with FRA to proactively improve their service to the RSAC community through the enhancement of their online information portal."
