Digital Management Supports Transition to New SBA Reporting System

Bethesda, MD—December 1, 2004—Digital Management, Inc. (www.digitalmanagement.com), the secure e-government solutions company, announced today that the Small Business Administration (SBA) has contracted it to oversee the deployment of the Office of Entrepreneurial Development EDMIS2 reporting system throughout the nation's more than 100 Women's Business Centers (WBC). WBCs, under the direction of the Office of Women's Business Ownership (OWBO), provide training and counseling services to assist women in starting and running successful businesses, regardless of social or financial disadvantage, race, ethnicity or business background.

In this year-long contract, Digital Management will support the OWBO by acting as the technical liaison between OWBO, the WBC's, and the SBA Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) during development of EDMIS2. EDMIS2 will standardize reporting parameters and codify practices among Office of Entrepreneurial Development programs. Digital Management will also implement a deployment plan with a target of full participation among WBCs by October 1, 2005.

"The task we've taken on demands a broad range of skills," said company president, Jay Sunny Bajaj. "Success requires careful attention to the needs of a diverse group of stakeholders. Our strong technical background as well as our practiced skills in project management suit us to representing the needs of WBCs and OWBO staff. Our history of success within the SBA's OCIO will help ensure the Agency meets its objectives to standardize information and reporting processes for more accurate assessment of the success of the Agency's grant programs."

About the Office of Women's Business Ownership

OWBO promotes the growth of women-owned businesses through programs that address business training and technical assistance and provide access to credit and capital, federal contracts, and international trade opportunities. With a women's business ownership representative in every SBA district office, a nationwide network of mentoring roundtables, women's business centers in nearly every state and territory, and women-owned venture capital companies, OWBO is helping unprecedented numbers of women start and build successful businesses. At every stage of developing and expanding a successful business, the Office of Women's Business Ownership is available to counsel, teach, encourage and inspire.
