Digital Management Awarded Five-Year Contract for Certification and Accreditation Services with the U.S. Department of Transportation
Bethesda, MD—May 14, 2008—Digital Management, Inc. (www.digitalmanagement.com), announced today that it has been selected by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DoT) to provide certification and accreditation (C&A) services for the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration, Financial Management and Transit Benefit Programs. The DoT Office selected Digital Management to be its "in-house" resource for C&A, encompassing all Office information assurance needs for C&A. Digital Management's integrated approach to C&A enables DoT to more strategically and efficiently manage the many information technology (IT) systems and applications that require C&A, rather than having to address each application as a separate effort. Digital Management's approach also enables government managers to focus more of their time on their core program responsibilities, rather than on the details of application C&A.
Under this five-year contract, Digital Management will follow National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards and industry best practices to perform risk, privacy, and vulnerability assessments, and certify, and accredit DOT financial management and transit benefit systems.
